Mixing

How Can I Help You In Mixing?

Mixing is the best solution for an artist looking for help getting their raw tracks to become the song they listen to when they hear it in their head.

I will set the overall balance and levels of each track and place elements of the mix in the stereo field. I will make sure the mix is musical, and fits the right vibe for the song.

I will give each individual track a critical listen and determine where to apply tools such as EQCompressionNoise GatesSaturation, and FX to allow each element to sit perfectly in the frequency spectrum and control dynamics in the final mix.

I will use automation to bring the mix to life - allowing the mix to dance with the music.

For example, a lead vocal will typically receive automation in mixing to allow certain phrases to pop through the mix in just the right way. It may also be used to control sibilence, breathes, mouth noises & pops.

Your tracks will be then be summed together in the analog realm using a summing mixer to combine all tracks of the song into the stereo 2 track audio fileAfter that, all that is left is mastering which is when the final mix receives processing as a whole to become as enhanced sonically as possible, and competitive for release on all listening platforms.

If needed, the following services are included at no additional cost with mixing projects:

Mastering

Editing - Vocal Tuning, Vocal double alignment, Drum Editing, etc.

Re-amping

Drum Sampling

Re-Amping

Re-Amping allows engineers to take the raw DI tracks straight from the output of the artist's guitar or bass, or at the end of the pedalboards' signal chain and record new guitar or bass tones through the studio's guitar, bass amps, and recording chain.

This process enables engineers to record several layers of guitar tones with tight, edited DI tracks. By taking this step in the mixing stage of the production, we can make the small adjustments necessary while recording guitar and bass cabinets to find the perfect tone for the recording.

Re-amping is included for free with the price of mixing projects.
The small things matter when recording guitars, it's nothing to rush! small moves such as moving a microphone just a few inches, then comparing it to another position to see what serves the song better can make a huge world of difference in the end result of the record!
